A child sleeps and dreams of the prairie taking over his house.
As artists in residence at the Sussex Prairies in 2015 my mother, sister and I had a group exhibiton, lasting the season, and held various workshops.
Over the previous winter I had photographed and collected grasses and seed heads from the Prairies. I also gathered unwanted furniture from around Brighton. These I transformed into a disarming, darkly humorous installation, an alternative world that aimed to question our views on life and the environment.
What goes on at night whilst you sleep?
I am keen to explore the themes of this installation further and show all or parts of it within interesting spaces. If you have any suggestions please contact me.
